Best Weight Loss
Hi everybody and welcome,
If you’re looking for some of todays best weight loss methods (and
now days who isn’t?), well guess what, you’ve found it. If you’re interested in weight loss and looking for free useful
and effective tips about how to lose weight, here is the right place for you. I’m not going to sit here and tell you it’s so easy and all you have to do is sit there
and do nothing while I tell you how to shed those unwanted pounds. What I can give you is the information and
tools that can help you succeed in your goal to trim down.
In today’s world, we live in a place where people are focused on being
thin and being as healthy as possible. The problem is that most people think that today’s best weight loss routine is
to completely starve their body and thus continuing the vicious roller coaster cycle they’ve been on for
years. The key to long term weight loss and maintaining that weight loss is in customizing a program for the
individual.
There’s no “one magic method” that’s going to work for everyone across
the board. However, there are a number of basic steps that almost each and every program is based upon. The
following are some initial weight loss tips to help you get started losing weight in a truly safe and
positive method.

Setting Goals; both Short-term and Long-term
Goals
When it comes to today’s best weight loss tips, you
need to keep yourself motivated by setting goals. And by all means, you need to be realistic. If you’re 20 to
30 pounds over your ideal weight for your size, don’t try to set a short term goal of “I’ll lose 25 pounds in
2 weeks”. It’s not only unrealistic, but probably going to do more harm than good. You should have the long
term goal of losing 25 pounds, but set some short term goals of 5 pounds in 2 weeks and then move up from
there.
I like to call the short-term goals my “mini victories” on
my quest to reach my long-term goals. The short-term goals can be
anything from running a certain amount at the gym to losing a certain amount of weight each week. These
smaller goals will help you stay on track with a sense of achievement so that you can lose the weight you
want and be as healthy as possible.
Diet vs. Exercise
Is it possible to lose weight by just doing one or the
other? Yes. So which works best to lose weight? Many studies have researched weight loss resulting from changing
diet versus increasing activity and the result is almost always the same; doing one or the other will result in
weight loss.
But if that’s true, then wouldn’t it be better if you
do both? Absolutely!! Personally I can tell you, my
best weight
loss method to date was when I increased my activity along
with changing my diet. The compounding effect resulted in my best success.
Monitor What You Eat
One of today’s best weight loss strategies
is keep track of the foods you eat with a food diary. The best thing about a food diary is that it’s simple,
no fancy steps or methods to try and memorize. Just write down anything and everything you consume. This
works for you in two ways; First, you will find yourself not cheating when it comes to trying to “eat right”.
You only have yourself to account for when you look at the entries at the end of the week and see a couple of
fudge sundaes on there. Second, if your program calls for calorie counting, it’s much easier to develop a
routine of seeing how you average per day/week/month. Plus you will be able to see which foods / exercises
provide the best results.
